ABSTRACT PAINTINGS

Recently I have been focusing most of my time on abstract painting. I have taken lessons from wonderful abstract artist Dennis Brown of Ladysmith. However that is now on pause due to covid 19.

Now I am taking online courses on modern art and design from MOMA (Museum of Modern Art in New York)and just love it. I am particularly influence by Abstract Expressionist Joan Mitchell.

Since I strongly believe that art is a voice, several of the abstracts on this website reflect my concern that the ancient forests on Vancouver Island are being logged and will never return. This is concerning in so many ways.
